Empirically Supported, Evidence-Based Therapy is our focus
I earned my doctorate from Saint Louis University and completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania under the direction of Aaron Beck, MD, the founder of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have been providing evidence-based therapy to adults and teaching EBTs to early career therapists for over 15 years. I particularly enjoy working with patients with diverse presenting problems such as professional stress, perfectionism, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression and bipolar disorders, social anxiety, insomnia and performance anxiety in sports. In my spare time, I enjoy spending as much time outside with my wife and three daughters camping, kayaking, hiking, trail running, and snowboarding. I am a former member of the USA Men’s 24-Hour Track & Field team and continue to enjoy competing in endurance sports. I am available to see patients in-person at my Chevy Chase, MD office and I'm licensed to provide Telehealth to patients in any PSYPACT state.
